lol! I went to E's Express this morning to getr a couple of sandwiches and he scanned my card and then said a number. This number being how many meals I have left. I never actually knew the real number you ready for it?
Brandon has: 173 left for this semester
Anyone want a sandwich because there is no way I can knock that down to a reasonable number by Friday.

Washington (AP) - Bright flashes in the sky had residents in the Washington region calling 911 Saturday night for what was actually the annual Geminid Meteor Shower.
The shower is created as Earth moves through a cloud of dust trailing the asteroid known as 3200 Phaethon, according to the NASA Web site. Scientists said it amounts to the best astronomy show of the year with meteors shooting across the sky in all directions.
"It actually happens every year," said Brian Guyer, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. "This year it's particularly strong."
But local residents were a bit alarmed by the astronomical event.
"We're getting some calls that people are reporting seeing some burning objects in the sky," said Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. "Unless they have an emergency of some sort or feel threatened, we'd prefer that they didn't call 911."
The meteor shower is expected to peak on Monday, Dec. 13, and the best time to look is around midnight, Guyer said. The streaks of light all trace back to the Gemini constellation which is high overhead at midnight and this year is positioned next to Saturn.
The show in the sky is expected to last several days and is visible around the world, according to NASA. The meteors are visible as soon as the sun goes down with a bright meteor visible about every 15 minutes.
One thing about the Geminids that has puzzled scientists for years is that meteor showers usually come from comets, which are made of ice, dust and rock. But asteroids like 3200 Phaethon are usually rocky and don't have a meteor trail. It's still a mystery for NASA why this asteroid produces one of the best meteor showers visible from the planet.

Oh I love being as cheap as I am. And ornery.
The floor is having a Christmas thing this Sunday and we are supposed to bring a gift and they will be randomly exchanged. The rule was it had to be under $5. I decided since I had an extra notebook and blue book that is what I would give them...under $0.50. Then came the wrapping. I went to the union today and they did not have wrapping paper. I emailed Mike to see if he had any or knew of another place on campus and he said he didnt know of one. He recommended I go to Target or something, but I am not going that far for paper. So, I use some old Kansan's. Now, I wrap it all up and decide that I want to get a little ornery with these people. So, I take more Kansan's and wad them up and line the bottom of a box, place the smaller package in the bigger package and load the rest up with more Kansan's. Finally, I wrap that in Kansan's. All that work for 37 cents worth of school supplies. Wow.

Time to update on my day. It was a pretty boring one. Woke up at about 10 which is I think the latest that I have slept in since I got here to KU. It felt great. Its I think the first time I have woken up and felt this good since I have gotten here. Went out into the living area thing after getting ready for the day and Peter was out there watching TV. Asked him if he wanted to eat breakfast with me and he did so we went down there and ate. I have almost 200 meals left and there is no way I can use all those by the time school is out, even if I eat at E's 6 times a day and stop over at E's Express on my way back each time.
Did homework today. Studied for my POLS test tomorrow. Went out in the lobby and studied some while the floor president watched Phenomenon. He had no idea who I was so it did not involve conversation.
Went to the Swing Dance night thing tonight as well. It was pretty much a bust. Got there a little early and Leon was setting up so I helped him with that and then got stuck trying to work the audio equipment (I had no idea) and I ended up letting someone else do it cause I had no idea. Just because I am technology chair does not mean that I know everything about anything that is considered a technology. Basically chatted with people I know and some of the dance teachers talked to me a little bit. There is a real nice girl that was down there so I chatted with her along with the norm, Keighle (bad spelling), Mark, Leon, Antwione, the norm. Took pictures, yea, about it.
Left the dance thing close to 9 because COmedy Central had Patton Oswald on and he is basically a minerature version of me so I wanted to watch it. Walking through the lobby someone said "hi" to me and I had no idea who it was until I got closer to him and realized it was Mike in a hat. He was watching the Patton Oswald thing so I watched it out there with him. A few others came out, luckily they were the ones I knew, Luke and Murl so I watched TV. Then someone came out and said there was a floor meeting (the RA didnt even know) and they are doing some Christmas thing. Its on Sunday and I have a final on Monday so I dont know if I can do that. If I do I have to get a gift that is under $5...I am thinking my extra blue book. Thats 25 cents. Yea, cheap and useful.
Before going to the dance thing I sent Sommers an email because I wanted to know about his ENGL 102 class if he had anymore info. Nice short email, here it is:
And this is the response I get. OMG he is a wierd sick bastard:
That sums up about every email I have ever received from him before. I could sum up some more quotes of his but I wont because who really cares. He is just someone that you have to meet to get hsi real charm.
POLS test tomorrow, math, history, ugh, POLS discussion! I will not enjoy tomorrow...I can just feel it.

Hey Brandon,
I'm going to do it -- at least I've been told I'm going to do it. I just
haven't announced anything as I
don't have a number yet. I believe they are going to switch me with one of
Laurel Loustau's 102 in the

can't really say for sure. But
I will be able to tell you all what it will entail if we have excess time

Today was nice. Suprising isnt it...things look up a little more each day (although I am not sure what would be causing this.)
Today in POLS we talked about the economy more. It will be rough having a test Monday of Stop Week and then the final the next Friday. Since its comprehensive it will be a little more difficult...I should do ok on it. Obviously the final is worth the most and is the most important so I need to do well on it, but its not like I am doing bad on it. He told us the layout of the grading system today:
Final - 40%
Highest test score - 25%
Next test score - 25%
Discussion - 10%
Last test score - 0%
Currently I have 7% of that 10%, an 85% and a 90%...so to get an A in there I need an A on this next test (easy) and an A on the final (a little harder.) I might see if Sadie wants to study for this final when the year gets closer to that time (she did offer it...might as well take advantage of it.) Keep it normal...that I will do then. I told her once that I would like to get an A in that class...she told me I could...lets see if that can happen.
Math...it was ok I guess. Once I find out what I got on this last test it will help but it looks like I need to do better than a 68% on the final to do what I want...so that should be easy to do.
Um...history we were supposed to get out take home final today but he forgot them. No excuse why I cant and shouldnt get a 100% on that, open note, open book, take home test...yea, no excuse.
And yea, that was about my day. Kinda funny, get an A in something I got a B in high school, a C in something I got a B in, a C in something I got a C in, and a C-B in something...well I have nothing to compare that to.
I guess it might not hurt to work on my English final some too...yea, that might be helpful.
Evil evil Tulsa...evil evil Arkansas. There is no way I will get any homework done there, this will not be a very productive holiday. I guess there is always the drive down there...thats a good 4 hours or so.
Sleep, POLS studying, math studying, what a day ahead of me...

Anyone else see the awesome fog this morning? Man that rocked!
Math was hard. The test was today and there were a few questions that I just could not do for the life of me. I tried, I kept working them out, not getting the answer and erasing and trying again. No idea what I got on it and I really dont want to know.
In history he slowed down a little bit but it was still pretty fast. Turned in the history paper today. I ended up going to bed and finishing it this morning. Got up early, around 6:30 and finished it then. It was nice.
I really want to get some stuff off my chest but I, I just cant. I do not have the willpower to say what I want to say. I feel like just shouting it at the top of my lungs but I simply cant. I thought it was a matter of trust. That is not true anymore because I trust people on here and yet I just cant. I dont know what the problem is. I am so confused.
I feel like I am living a soap opera life right now and I dont like it. I just want the answers and I cannot seem to find them. Maybe there are no answers...and that would suck...because...idk why it would suck. ::sigh::

DO I have stories to tell...but homework must come first...
===================================
Ok, now for stories. I went to the CSB meeting not wanting to. Leon (complex director) wanted to know what I was planning on doing after the meeting. I said I was really busy so I was glad that it was a short meeting because I had a bunch of stuff to do. Then he told me after the meeting they were going out to get ice cream. It has been so long since I did that. Anyway, they talked me into leaving my homework behind and eating ice cream with them. Cold Stone, a rip off of Marble Slab, was nice. We filled the place to the legal limit I think. The only thing better then ice cream is ice cream paid for by the tuition of other KU students. Thats right, KU picked up the tab.
While eating my free ice cream Hannah (an Ellsworth AURH rep) aproached me with an interesting proposition. She said that she was impressed with the Ellsworth website (or what I have done on it so far) and if I had considered doing the website for AURH. While Ellsworth is nice AURH is the governing body for all the halls. I was not sure about that because its quite a bit more responsibility. Then she went further. They also want me to consider doing all of the hall websites, that Ellsworth, GSP/Corbin, McCollom, Lewis, Templin, all of them. Holy shit that would be a lot of work. To finish off the deal she said a scholarship was involved if I wanted to do it.
Needless to say I told her to get me info on it and I will strongly consider it. Now, this is another perfect example I will be totally unsure of and will probably regret whatever choice I make until later on in life.
Then we headed back to the hall to see the fire alarm going off and Leon (complex director) riding with us had us all get out of the car because he had to go in and take care of business.
Now, I have only typed a little more than a page of my history paper and I am tired so I have to go to bed. After I get out of the math lab thing to help me study for the test Friday I will work on it until its done because its due Friday. I hate having it come to this extreme, I didnt want it to.

Today in POLS discussion we took the literacy test that Alabama required all people to take in order to vote. This is the one that black people had to take: Go ahead, take it and post your results. I can tell you I didnt pass. In order to vote you need 8 or more correct. Good luck!

Today was a nice, leveled out day. Nothing super went on, not horribly bad went on...it was just a normal day and that might just be the best of them all.
POLS I discussed previously, I missed it and I truly did.
Math was rather boring. Quiz tomorrow so thats nice I guess. No homework because she didnt finish the lesson. She also handed back gateways and I dit not get one back because she never received it. I love it. KU seems to loose everything I do for some odd reason. So, obviously I need to take it again because if they go off the benefit of the doubt then that isnt me.
History was pretty dang nice. Talked more about Rome. I am going to work on that paper some today because its due Friday and I want to do well on it. Imagine this, I am working on a paper a week before its due...normally its the day before. Hopefully a few pages the next 2 nights and then review it so I can finish it up on Thursday. He also said that our take home final he hopes to get to us by Monday or sooner, that rocks.
POLS discussion was actually really good today. Normally I dread going because its a waste of my time. The other day I was talking to Sadie about it (she is in the class too but a different discussion) and she was saying that unlike me, she leads the discussions but it is equally as pointless for her to go to them. Kinda funny and what I would give to get a little of that ability (to not only talk in a class but maybe even lead a discussion...that would be the day.) Anyway, getting back on track with class instead of Sadie, talking about Supreme Court cases was actually quite fun. Talked to a kid in there that I actually recognize and seems nice. Both of his parents are lawyers so he understands the briefs very well. The GTA had to give this speech because after this last test he said he had gotten 20 some emails from people saying that they are teaching too much stuff for each test and each day. He demonstrated this was the case and that nothing can be done about it by saying this, "Your book is less than 700 pages. Lets say there are 15 chapters in this book. Each chapter is a semester class in itself. As you get into your higher level classes that concentrate on these individual chapters you are expected to read about 1000 pages a piece, thats 15000 pages condensed into less than 700." THen he pulled out his undergrad books for Supreme Court and Civil Rights/Liberties because thats his concentration. An eye opener but not something I was worried about.
So after all the class business I went and took the gateway yet again. Its getting a little close to the deadline...November 30th is the cutoff for it and I would like to have those points. Hopefully they dont loose this one or I will be really pissed.

Today has been really boring. Went into the lobby for several hours and read. Not suprisingly no one came into the lobby. I hear other RAs talk about how our floor isnt very social...I tend to agree with that. All I have to do now is work up the courage to tackle 5.1 in math and start typing my history paper now that everything is read on it.
[X] Math 5.2

OMG. Today has just been one of those days. Its just been shitty for all sorts of reasons. Just a bad day. I am ready for it to be over.
I gave up on doing math today when I started working on something that is very easy and became retarded. Its like all my math skills were sucked out of me. I decided to start working on my history paper due Friday. Its going to be tough but I got the cover page and everything formatted the way he wanted and after I finish reading the second article I will start typing it. Maybe I will do some laundry so that I have a good hour to read it and stuff. I have a lot to do class-wise so it will be a work weekend for me. Here is my list of crap to do:
[ ] Math 5.1
[ ] Math 5.2
[ ] History paper
[ ] English topic for final
[ ] practice for math test Friday
[ ] practice for math quiz Tuesday
[ ] POLS questions for discussion
[ ] Read 2 Supreme Court cases for POLS discussion
[ ] Read p144-145 in Winks and #54 and #55 in Bailkey for history
[ ] Read p128-152 in LGS for POLS
Damn thats a lot. Time to quit typing in this and start working on some of it. I hope to tackle half of it tonight, wish me luck!

What a short day today! Just my 1 class so that was nice.
Like I said, the 1 class was math. It was pretty boring so yea. Enough said there.
LENOID METEOR SHOWER! I posted it on the marker board on the door like I do every time something like this happens. It will probably get erased because people just dont care. Anyway, it should be cool and I might have to go to bed at like 6 so I can get up super early and try to catch some of it.
I doubt I will post again but idk, something exciting just might happen (yea right).
